That weekend was great. I was a little pissed off at first cause the rain had destroyed a summers worth of work, but Zack is "Mr. Cups Half Full" and we made do with what we had and it turned out pretty cool.

There are only 3 races a year. Run the 250 with LRRS and then drag the RD out a few times and then we're all happy.

Its a 96 or 97. I'll attach a photo. The bike was safety wired last year for the track. I'm assuming it had never been raced before this past season. Well, I can't figure out how to attach a photo in this forum. Give me your email address and I can send you a pick.

yea, Rob's right about that site. Easy like pie to post a pic.

Also, that's cool about the 250. I'm excited to hear how you feel about it, and to see how you do. It's definitely a step or two up from a vintage bike...oh so capable. Get ready to keep that front wheel on the ground going into the bowl too.

Yea I tried the image website but didn't have any luck. I emailed you a photo Zack so hopefully you get it. Your email was pasted_haste? If you want to post the bike up on the site that would be great.

Do have experience in LRRS Zack? I'm curious what I'm getting myself into with this bike. Yea Scott, I feel a bit crazy just deciding to buy the bike. I'm concerned I may not be able to afford to race this thing. We'll see.

Yea, I've got experience with LRRS. It is definitely a different atmosphere than a vintage race. Starting on a lightweight bike like that is a good way to do it though. The most dangerous situations usually occur with Novices on big bikes.
That being said, that is a serious bike to step up to; roughly 230 pounds and 90hp. You would start as a Novice right? I'm sure you would take the class by storm, and I bet you would have a blast on the bike. It's a rush.
Affordability is definitely something to worry about. The maintenance costs shouldn't be too bad, other than tires which are expensive. If you want any other info about race entries, gas, or anything else let me know.
