so im new to the cafe scene, and trying to lower my 75' CB 550.
front is no worries, rear im running into issue.
whats is everyone doing to lower these bikes? i know 750's have those blocks you can run, but nothing for 550's?
are there shorter eye to eye shocks with a shorer stroke out there, is everyone cutting the springs?
need an answer asap!!

thanks,

ok, so why do you want to lower it in the first place? is it a seat height issue or are you just going for the look. Lowering a 550 will make it handle like shit.

stay away from lowering blocks. Technically if they work for the 750 they work for the 550s but they put an extra joint in the suspension that makes the bike handle funny.

you can get new shocks from works or progressive or even hagon. the size you need is 11" eye to eye and they will sell them to you setup. There is a harley shock with a clevis end and 11"s but I forget which model it is.
