Agreed on the nationality part. I haven't noticed a significant difference in quality between the two, but like you said, they are producing different grades for specific markets. From what I have seen here Taiwan has the premium knock offs.

These are what this thread is all about.

Another CX death trap for sale by somebody with really big stones to ask 12 grand
and no way is it legal road certifiable, with the solid rod rear brake actuator set like that it's going to apply the rear drum brake every time the suspension is compressed.

Looks like somebody following somebody home from buying somebody else's failed bobber project.

Did his rear brake lock up when he hit a bump? Incorrect modified rear brake as I described in my previous post can do exactly that.
If you watch it has no suspension action. I think the rear wheel broke free from the bike after just a few bridge joints.

Yes he was riding as sloppy as shite and tailgating too, but right near the end his rear tire was leaving paisley shaped skid marks each time it hit the ground, skid marks happen because the rear brake was locked up and that wasn't happening because his foot was pumping the rear brake, he was attempting to pass on a less then perfect road with a less then perfect motorcycle. ... seems the crash video has been deleted so it makes little odds unless you can find more photos or video.

Add reads " 1976 Honda JC360 cafe racer, showroom condition absolutely immaculate, completely rebuilt and customized. There is not one piece on this bike that hasn’t been either rebuilt, refinished, upgraded, updated, custom built etc - right down to painting of spoke nipples. Bike is flawless, needs nothing, had complete out of province inspection done last year, new battery with updated charging system, led signals etc. paint job and fabrication work is amazing, tank was coated inside. Everything was disassembled and painted/replaced/rebuilt/modified right down to the last bolt. Starts first or second kick really easily, idles perfectly, never bogs, runs like it’s fuel injected. I’m not sure how a carbureted bike runs this well. Will do 120Kmh maybe a touch more- really happy at 100-110kmh. Again, everything is either new or rebuilt from the engine to the brakes, suspension ,wiring, switches, etc. $15000 cad obo Kevin *** reason selling it is that it’s a bit physically small for me 6’5” "
Would you ride it?

Bike doesn't look bad and price seems reasonable, but who puts a red crushed velour seat and a Mac upswept 2:1 pipe on a Commando?

Honestly, I don't hate it. Its reversible, doesn't negatively impact performance, and is fun
