making harleys look good...

Hello all, new to the forum.

I'm currently trying to transform my 883 sportster into a more cafe-looking bike. Does anyone know of any good sites/shops that would sell parts (mainly handlebars, tanks, and a new seat) that would fit on a harley? Thanks in advance,

m.

When the new 883 came out a friend of mine, Alex Bub,(for any of you old time guys that might remember racing in the 70's) endurance raced one. He is an engineer for Harley and this was a pre-production dyno mule that they used up in testing. His boss told him to scrap it out, so it went into his van to become a race bike. He put Suzuki GS750es bodywork on it and a Goldwing front end on it. Some clip-ons and decent shocks along with a one-off pipe from the race department and we had a pretty cool race bike. Looked cool and handled pretty decent.Too bad the race was at Road America and we just didn't have enough motor to run with the big guys. Just some ideas, but I think e-bay could be your friend on this one if you don't mind putting some Japanese parts on a Harley. Front ends are available pretty cheap and so are wheels. The sportster is a pretty simple bike and a lot of parts should be able to be made to fit.
