making harleys look good...

Hello all, new to the forum.

I'm currently trying to transform my 883 sportster into a more cafe-looking bike. Does anyone know of any good sites/shops that would sell parts (mainly handlebars, tanks, and a new seat) that would fit on a harley? Thanks in advance,

Thanks everyone. I tried storz on the advice of another friend, and almost hit paydirt. They did a pretty decent one in '94 as a project, but no longer make the bars that they did for that one. I'll give the other link a try though.

The reason why I don't just sell it, is that it was my mom's, and she's too disabled to ride anymore, so I took it off her hands to make things easier for her. But she loved that bike, and I promised I would never sell it. I can't afford to go and buy what I really want (a triumph thruxton 900), and really, the harley rides VERY nice (esp considering it's a harley), and really, w/a few mods, there's just no reason why it couldn't be a cafe.

All of those are great. And yes, those are closer to what I had in mind. Especially the handle bars. That's probably my biggest gripe to start with. Really, w/harleys in general. No one really goes for any interesting looks w/them at all, just cruiser or chopper look. There's really nothing about the sportster that wouldn't make for a decent cafe w/just a few changes. Yet finding parts that would do that has been hell. I appreciate everyone's help here though, it's given me new hope. Now I just need the insurance company to get the damn thing here. (I was run off the road by a drunk driver on the way back from kansas city to north carolina). That would make it easier.
