So i was looking at my master cyl and its gross.. now rebuild kits are like 40 bucks. but i like the small round look of the new style guys. should i look for a whole shabang on ebay. like lever and all or are most levers assemblies the same? i.e use the same type of tensioner, same OD mounting hole (that bolt goes through ) same thickness ??? anyone have any neat articles or threads for swapping lever sets and masters?this is for a GS 450 maybe same i dont know.. thanks

I would look for the entire thing on ebay or in your local craigslist. One from a newer bike will I am sure work however you will probably have to change the way that your brake light switch is hooked up. Lever assemblies are usually different.

You can use a master from almost any Japanese bike as long as it provides a sufficient volume of fluid to your caliper and the banjo fitting is the same size as your existing brake line

Hey someone pas me the wrench........ Ahh screw it where is the torch
