Discussion Starter · #1 · has info about the European bike meet at Sunday River, Bethel Maine for those who don't already know about this event.
Lots of nice machinery, great roads, BMW collector opens his private museum to interested airheads. Portland Euro trash will be there. My 77 leMans 850 is on the road again, and on their poster.
Anybody here going?

Sounds interesting. Maybe I can free up some time to roll up on my 'very-UNeuropean' motorcycle. You have any other info? All I found on the site was the date(s). Date, time and location would be great, I'll post it to NYCvinMoto also.

Is there a SWAP MEET? I love me some swap meet.

Thought I posted this a while back but couldn't find it.

If I've already sent this to you, I'm sorry for doubling up. (but this one
has the date and reservation number which the other one did not.)

Here's the low down for the 7th annual Western Maine European Motorcycle
Meet. This year's sponsors are the usual suspects, Street Cycles, Moto
Milano, Great Bay Motorcycles and Whitehorse Press, being joined by
newcomers Seacoast Sport Cycles and V T Cycles. Without these folks I
couldn't do this so please support them.

As we did last year, we'll be collecting a $5 entry fee for the weekend.
This will go to MEME to help with future events and to the National Marfan
Foundation to further Marfan research.

The Luau on Saturday evening will also help the NMF as $5 from each plate
will be donated. Cost of the Luau is $30++ (which I believe works out to
$32) Please remember that last year WE SOLD OUT THE ROOM. Call the
reservation line and make sure you have a seat for it. We have grown our
little event enough that we just can't guess on the "numbers" anymore. I
want to make sure everyone gets fed and has a place to sit for the Luau and
the trivia/ prize giveaways. We will also draw the Saturday 50/50 raffle
during the festivities.

Schedule for the weekend is as follows: (Dates are July 28,29,30 2006)

Friday the 28th,

Meet and Greet 6:00pm-1:00am

Dinner Buffet 6:00pm-9:00pm

(9:00am-5:00pm) Everyone must leave from the mountain on the hour to allow
Dave to show folks the collection.

Lunch available 11:30am-2:00pm at the Jordan Grand

Vendors on display throughout the day Saturday and Sunday

Luau! 6:00pm-9:00 please have reservations made at least two weeks before
the meet. (Reservations can be made by calling Sunday River at

$5 from each plate goes to the National Marfan Foundation.

Live entertainment, motorcycle trivia and prize giveaways 8:00pm-? (Also
drawing for the Saturday 50/50)

Sunday the 30th,

Western Maine European and British Motorcycle Show

sorts of great prizes. (Shoei donated a helmet last year and Greatbay a cool
Triumph jacket. There will be more this year.

So that's about it. I hope to you this year as it's folks like you that make
this event what it is.
