Does anybody out there know where i can pick up a sandbag and a metal forming hammer set cheap? I figure somebody in the auto body/resto business might know. Thanks for any input.

if at first you don't succeed, use a bigger hammer

Pete,

You can try Rio Grande (www.riogrande.com). They are essentially a jewelery supply house but that does have a few metal working items in their catalog. I know they have sand bags and a few raising and forming hammers. What are you trying to do and in what? Most of the hammers they will have will not last too long on steel. They would work ok for aluminum. For steel I think you'd have to make your own out of old ballpeen hammers or some other hard hammer (geologists and stone mason hammers etc).

thanks for the help. i'm trying to reshape a front fender from an old FLH to fit a sportster rear. the rear downtubes interfere in the front, and i have to pound them in just a touch.
