I found a set of mikunis that appear to be 34mm (they measure very close to 33-34mm, according to the guy selling them). He says they were working ok, so I am going to take a look at them.

They're very similar to this:

and they came off a 4-stroke bike. I know I'll have to re-jet them, but am I just tossing money away even if they're in good shape? I looked for Mikuni 33mm carbs for comparison, and the only ones I saw were radically different, so I'm pretty sure they're just older 34mm carbs.

Too big for that bike. Go 32mm max.
Do a search for my old posts on what jetting works with 32mm Minuni round slides on a 450.

Borzwazie,

Measure the engine side of the carb with a digital vernier caliper. If it's a 34 it will actually be slightly larger than 34mm at the very edge - usually 34.45mm or so. 33's and 32's will be the same way - slightly larger at the very edge of the engine side of the carb.

I'm looking for a set of 34's for a T500 and I have a set of clean 32's to trade if you get these and they are too big....

Let me know if you are interested...

I didn't get them, but they're on Pittsburgh Craigslist right now - $75 bucks.

Shoot me an email if you want to sell those Mikunis.
