Think you need to add the 3rd. wire for the 3-phase alternator output too.
... and a rectifier.
... and your speed sensor should not go to ground it should go to the special speedometer.
The Vape ignition system is a CDI unit with digital spark trigger. Only puts out about 150W and the two black wires to the regulator are AC and rectified in the regulator.

The speed sensor is the one included with the m.Unit as a reference to sync with the app/trip and odometer logging.

3-phase alternators have 3 AC outputs each out of phase to another,
the rectifier alters their combined output to DC and the regulator dissipates any excess voltage that would cook the battery.

Do you have a wiring schematic for this Vape thing, that apparently converts the engine to a wasted spark ignition.

Vape used to be called Powerdynamo/MZB

Interesting, I hope it works well for you,
and I call BS on this claim they made:
  • Wasted spark system ensures easy starting
Since when does sending power to 2 spark plugs at the same time improve anything, one of those sparks is completely wasted and does nothing to improve starting or anything else.

... your product link is wrong but I found the correct system that supports lighting output.
