The image scales poorly on here.
I miss watching Moto GP on Speed TV with Dave Despain at the helm.

I miss more the AMA Superbike and GP of the past....with great names like Doug Chandler, Miguel DuHamel, the Haydens, Bostroms, Aaron Yates, the Texas Tornado and Sir Mic, Mat Mladin, Troy Corser, etc, etc....you get the idea.

I would kill for a Muzzy race replica ZX7 or a replica Yoshimura GSXR.....hell even a Smokin Joe or a Marlboro replica of some kind.

Sucks getting old

SPEED TV was good. Some of the regular shows were terrible but the live coverage was usually good.

Being in the USA I broke down and started purchasing the Video Pass. For a time I used VPNs but that was always hit or miss.
I also spent the money on Video Pass. It's worth it not to have the headaches of trying to stream in through sketchy websites. Plus you can
watch and rewatch anytime you want.

I use to watch Shipshape TV with John Greviskis 20-25 years ago on Speed. I was into boats back then and legitimately looked forward to the weekly episodes with everything about things with boats. It was really helpful back then....long before Youtube showed up.

I went to YouTube to check out some old videos….He was a heifer back in the day with black hair. Now he's thin and old. Watching a few old videos took me back to old times. It's sad..... the videos have 2000-3000 views and the classic ones even less. Now a video of a cat with a camera attached to it gets 30,000,000 views in 10 minutes.

It's a different world now.
Not good day for Pol Espargaro.

MotoGP:

"Pol Espargaró has had a high-intensity crash and suffered multiple traumas. To determine the extent, he will need to be evaluated via further examination at Faro hospital, specifically his spine," Dr. Charte explained.

Espargaro did not lose consciousness at any point and is perfectly fine neurologically, with no neck injuries.

Dr. Charte continued to explain that "his oxygen levels are good, but he has quite a significant lung contusion, the extent of which we will need to confirm with CT scans and MRIs at Faro hospital."

"He has suffered severe spinal trauma and a contusion to his lungs which we will have to monitor closely. Although I think he will recover well, we need to conduct the appropriate tests to determine the extent of his injuries

"He is conscious, alert, and responding well. He is slightly sedated due to the painkillers we have administered. He can move his feet, legs, and arms perfectly well, so there is no reason to fear any permanent spinal injury."

It was hard to tell from the video I saw but it looks like he may have been hit by his bike against an armco.

EDIT: Word the bike did not hit him.
Geesh

MM never ceases to amaze. Just when you thought the madness was over.

Bowling ball continues to roll.

Marquez is reckless. He needs to get himself under control or retire.

With the mounting incidents it may be that he should retire. I think he has some lingering vision and brain injury issues.

Racers need something to retire to, or they just keep racing until it is physically impossible. What else can they do!

Seems to me MM could open a very successful rider training camp with his following in the EU. Doesn't Honda employ their riders as manufacture ambassadors. But where is the glory in this. I think it has been said by more than one other rider that MM needs to change hes perspective.

I am sure he will have to be dragged away from the scene one way or another.
