lifelong friend and current next door neighbour Vee Pickering showing off his trophys in 1982.


on the track










Vee was an outstanding competetor, he was a local hero, winning almost every race he entered, he was almost there but quit racing in 1986 when his dad, best friend and mechanic suddenly died, his trophies are hidden away in his attick, he doesnt talk about his racing days but he lent me these photos to show you.

sorry, this was his Honda, il find out what the other bike was..

the guy in the background is Vee's dad and mechanic.


where it all started fo him in 1977, the orange jacket warned other riders this was a new rider on his 1st race..

ACU doesn't allocate a fixed number, first come first served.
You get a lower number by entering event early
I was usually somewhere in the middle 100~250 depending on size of event

All those pics in the first batch appear to be TZ250F or G. Could be more than one bike or different fairings (consumables in racing).
