My latest project

I bought this bike in 1984 when I was 19. At that time it was a showroom stock 1979 Triumph Bonneville Special. It stayed that way until I 'lightly' crashed it in 1992. 13 years, 2 wives and 3 kids later it's finally back together, although not quite showroom stock. Over the years I had collected a number of neat'o'cool pieces for the project and 3 years ago, in between customer work, I started gluing them all together. Goodies include but are not limited to, a hotter exhaust cam, QPD primary belt drive with Norton dry clutch conversion, Redwing 'Hammerhead' shocks, custom rear sets, Magura clip-ons, twin discs up front with AP Lockheed aluminum calipers, drilled rotors, custom 1.75" 2 into 1 exhaust with an original Dunstall decibel silencer, high output oil pump, all wrapped in some slightly modified Triumph factory racing bodywork. The only things left to do now are to trade the cast wheels for spoked units and have a bit of silver pinstriping applied. It's the bike I always wanted that Triumph never made, a Rob North/Triumph T140 racer for the street.
