Hey guys

SO I need some help I have a 1980 suzuki gn400 single carb. I'm getting a popping back fire noise in the morning and feels like less power. It kicks in after a few miles on the way to work with no popping and power is back. Does anyone have a idea of what it could be? thanks

If you live in a moist climate it might be moisture on the igntion system that evaporates and the engine heats up.

I used to have an old Honda Accord that would do the same thing till it boiled the moisture out of the distributor each morning.

that would be great if that was the problem. I think I might rip into it this weekend and make sure there is nothin going wrong.

Check the plug wires and caps real well. Just takes a tiny crack in them to get wet for them to start arcing.
