You look like you listen to Dropkick Murphys and Floggin Mollys. What kind of bike is that with the suicide shift?
1937 Motobecane 3 speed… she is somewhere in Alabama now . It was a fun rebuild while keeping the patina
It's very appealing to the eye, I assume the original headlamp fixture was too rotted to salvage?
Yeah it was missing completely, I found this bike in Normandy back when I would pick bikes myself to bring back to the US market. I just loved this old beast full of character
Brake cable placement is interesting for when the bars are at full left lock.

How did you get around this?

So stoic
He's sad that he bought them to flip instead of keeping them to ride, I can understand it.

Welcome to the forum!
That's cool!
What kind of rear suspension is on that bsa?
thats called a Plunger suspension
It's suppose to be shrouded and the bottom spring should not be coil bound like that.
Would be nice to see the correct tank badge on that BSA, you already got it happening with the red stacked rifles on the black engine parts that looks sweet  but the tank badge would totally set it off, what happened to the front fender did it shake off? I can see that happening, they shake enough to blur your vision if you got the nerve to twist the throttle hard (y) wicked bike in the dirt if you put full knobby tires on it.

A front fender would fix that.

So it's a "soft" hard tail?
No it's a full on suspension system minus fluid shock absorber technology. The spring on the bottom is suppose to have sufficient movement to drop into a pot hole or the top spring compress for a bump, the rear 19" wheel weighs a ton and the bike weighs a ton and has a huge long wheelbase so the thing never wants to move much anyway. They fly nice and level if you want to do big jumps.
