Hi I'm Ben getting back into biking after having to take a couple of decades off, due to a sick wife.
Went down to my farm today and pulled my old Yamaha XS650 out of the dirt.
It will be my cafe racer.
Great bike. It is well supported in the aftermarket too. I would disassemble and soda-blast something that rough. The painted parts and aluminum parts will come out looking better than new.
True that! If things look good and usable after cleaning + painting I would fill the tubes with a corrosion protection oil and than drain. I use an aricraft product ACF_50.
