Hi Everyone
Just wanted to make a quick introduction before posting.
I am relatively new to the cafe racer scene. I have been doing it roughly for about a year and made plenty of mistakes along the way.
I am currently working on a Honda 1976 CB500T. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you checked your rear wheel on full compression for clearance to the bottom of the seat?
It seems you have cut off the "bridge" that goes between the frame rails that is raised.
Its raised to allow this clearance.

Easy way to check is to remove the springs from the shocks and refit.
If the tyre hits the seat before you run out of travel you will need to sort the clearance out before riding this.

I think you will have problems with clearance. You need the tie in but to make it work it has to be a more vertical hoop. One of the Brits posted this picture of a custom frame, not for a cb necessarily, but it shows how the hoop needs to be for tire clearance. It doesn't need to be that exaggerated, that example is made for under the bump stop.

IMO that seat spoils all the nice work you have done. And that doesn't really express how I feel about it.
