Here's a pic of the wrench I made for tightening/loosening exhaust nuts without breaking the fins.
So how did you get that finish on the wrench? And the nice radius on all the outside corners? On both sides. Must take a heck of a jig...I still think it's cast except for maybe the fin notches....send me a pic of the wrench in the machine and I'll believe you.
Or...sell me one for $20 and I'll believe you....see, I'm always willing to compromise.
That's true. I sometimes wonder how I made any money w/o CNC...but we did....but it was harder.quote:
I'd love to go CNC if I had the money. Don't have time to learn all the "real" stuff. My guess is the machnist 50 years ago would have given up their tools for CNC in a second if they had the choice.
I managed to break most of the fins getting it off, and now that the engine is rebuilt by Steve D. I will have to put it back on. The clamps are real hard to find so I don't want to ruin another one.
frank, youre confusing machine operators with machinists. get it straight! same thing in wood dude.
Ok then smart guy..if you know about it...you'll know what it's made of...which is what?quote:
oh yeah, jb, i knew about that nut. man, the things i could teach you!
