Greetings from Croatia... although im everywhere more than in Croatia, as I have a severe case of Wanderlust ;P

I am a petrolhead like most of us here, but I sway all the time from 2 to 4 wheels. I own a small import export company specializing in finding in vintage vehicles... basically a scout for cars and motorcycles.

The company was founded on a idea of importing and exporting cars and bikes on the relations US - EU, but since im single and young, US Embassy decided that I was undesirable to go back to the US. Which turned out to be a good thing, but i have left my bike there ;( (sob)

Now, about the bikes... i own several bikes, some more interesting than others, but the one you might like the most is my Suzuki GN 400. (the picture below)

Im trying to organize a new space and headquarters and setting up a new garage to build new projects, so i decided to join to seek advice and share experiences with fellow motorcycle enthusiasts. Cheers

Thank you Stephen. Minimal indicators to be exact. Used 2 leftover pieces of steel, bent it to an L, added 3 ultra-bright orange 10mm LED (since it is a 6 volt sistem, had to improvise) and controlled the voltage with a Zenner diode. You can see better here.

Rear light is from a WW2 Jeep, but it had also an LED transplant inside... again, all custom made to cope with the 6V on which the bike is running. The blinkers on the pic though were later replaced with similair ones as on the front... here i was too excited to wait for the glue to dry, the need to drive it was too great (so they dried only 2 months till i got back to them XD )

regarding the rest: Plaid shirt check, skinny jeans check, no beard; more like a scruff ;P

look at the headlight, now on the right and left center side , where you would find the bolts that hold the headlight, you have these 3 LED positioned in a triangle... that are the blinkers... you see them best when they are on.

Drove it for 7 months in Los Angeles, and it was fine in Croatia this would be all sorts of illegal... to many restrictions by law on modifying anything. Even your lawnmower

True... there was also that i have no real estate in Croatia and an US girlfriend at the time... Basically they saw very little reason why i would return to Croatia if they had let me back to the US... and yes, could be the bike too XD

Hi and welcome to the forum, it's such a fun place. I can think of plenty worse places than Croatia to live, that Dalmatian coast is so beautiful I would like to ride it everyday, I've fond memories. And I seem to remember seeing plenty of beautiful women too.

Found'm, hey trials it's almost like another where's waldo. Gotta admit exion if they're that hard to find in a still picture I'd be doubtful of just how useful they are moving down the road. The rears don't look like much of an attention getter either. I worry about being seen vs. hit. I actually have 2 sets of rear indicators on mine to limit the squash factor.

True, they are a somewhat stealth... but they did their job rather well. Nobody complained so far. I was counting on that the LEDs are 1600 lumens, where as standard indicator bulbs are around 800 lumen (even less on my 6V circuit). But i can bet that they couldn't see where i was heading when looking in the RVM while riding towards sunrise/sunset... although I definitely wouldn't recommend this setup to an beginner or someone who cant elaborate to the police officer why you have those.

Thanks for having me I agree, it has its advantages, but a rather undeveloped Cafe culture... its all sport bikes and some choppers... plenty of scooters and motocross...

Mornin exion, welcome to the fray. The UK isn't a bad place to be importing/exporting from in the short term I reckon because of the weak pound and nobody seems to know what the hell is going on as regards europe.

Get a longer tank and a front mudguard by the way.

Thank you pwalo. I have clients in UK, and we are looking at that, but the prices in eastern europe are still lower. Example: a fully restored 80's BMW R60/5 is 4000 euros... people are just not interested in old bikes here, where i see a great advantage as i am one of the very few people in the region that export cars and bikes If you need a bike, let me know, because they are rather cheap here

If i stayed in the US the next thing would have been a minimalist front mudguard (because its just missing something there), benelli fuel tank, inverted front suspension from an Aprilia AF1 or some Suzuki 300 series that seem to be popular in the US, but with double disc brakes from a GSX from the same age as mine (meaning same star shaped rim with double disc) Different mirrors as well as MotoGadget everything... and maybe (rather: most likely) relocate the choke leaver and hydraulic clutch conversion and new rear-sets frame ( I rather like the symmetry ). with all that it would be stupid not to change the muffler to something more pleasing and last but not least: extend the rear swingarm for couple inches, to visually accommodate the longer fuel tank... or even do a mono at the back.... gosh too many options *_*
