I know this has nothing to do with racing but I have a 1990 Nissan Pickup that will not accelerate well. We have changed and checked the following, , Fuel pump, fuel pressure reg , spark and wires, cleaned the maf sensor, changed the o2 sensor and checked the catilytic converter and had no change but if you cover the air intake with your hand or some tape with a small hole it does great.. If anyone has any idea please let me know..

You need more gas. Whether or not for many different reasons... Did you check the timing? Valve clearances (probably not that), and I know nothing about nissans but whatever feeds the gas just before the intakes might want to be checked.

I'm pretty sure it's the McGanzer Flange.
Nissan's used the left hand threaded variety..prone to failure.

its not the valves,tire pressure or the ganzer, its the potentionometer on the accelerator.
