That is cafe racer. It is like a time capsule. Some really interesting and weird parts on that like the front external shock forks (don't want to call it an earls fork since it has tubes parallel and no cross brace, and the bike was probably built before clipons were commonly available).

Speaking of stuffing car engines into bikes...anybody ever see the old /2 BMW/VW engine conversions?

I did one for a friend in the 70's. It was a square back motor and I had to stretch the fame to fit it in. It was very good at breaking BM transmissions.

A friend of mine had a Guzzi with sidecar and a Subaru motor.
