I recently purchased a Yamaha dealer inventory, mostly NOS street bike parts from the mid 80's. All I have is part numbers, no applications, so I don't know what any of the parts fit. Is there website where I can plug in a part number and retrieve the application? Or perhaps a book with a numerical reference for part numbers? Most of the dealer catalogs I have owned list bike models and info and then it provides the part numbers for that bike. I need just the opposite.

Took less than 5 minutes to come up with this link

give it a try and see if it works for you.
You can find lots of stuff using search on a browser.
Put in a part number from one of my old receipts for my Maxim X and took a minute, but told me what it cost and where it went.

Thanks very much for the link; it seems to work great for giving me both the part description and the application. I have searched several sites, such as Bikebandit.com etc, in the past and I haven't found one that gave the application when entering a part number. They typically just give the part description and the price. Thanks again.
