Aaron, did you get the ex500 parts? I haven't been mobile enough to go look if you've picked them up....

Ya know what pisses me off the most about breaking my arm is that now I'll have to wait until next year to win the Middleweight AND Formula-2 championship. Looks like craig has it wrapped up in mw...

that and i have no income for 2-3 weeks.

Scott - I saw you in the Endurance race and you did look pretty fast comin through 9.

Rob - I didn't get the stuff cause I thought it might be inconsiderate to say, "Hi I know Rob crashed but I wanted some stuff out of his Van", You know what I mean. John Banson said just take it and then deny it.

Hey Champ,
I'm glad you piped up on the USCRA list about Pete's bike. At the time the crash took place I'm listening to all the corner worker chatter on my scanner. It was the opinion of the corner workers that all the oil came out of the crashed bikes and was not there prior to the crash.
I've been keeping my mouth shut to avoid any shit storms. Hehe, but you're not one to do that if you've got something to say :)
Good on you...you calls'em as you sees'em.

being that i was there first on the scene, i can say that the oil was a pool, not a stream, not a splash, but a giant pool. it didnt look as if anyone had tracked through it like youd expect. but it was so spread out, he might not have had to actually go into it to slide. petes bike ended up on the outside of the corner though. the spill was inside, just before the apex to 9. the canadian guy had pushed his bike off to the inside and there was a rainbow under where he initially stopped pushing. since he seemed ok, i told him to push further inside and get out of the way. i just wanted to make sure no one else would hit it and got my ass in a position for everyone to see me and know there was shit on the track. after the final rider went past, i ran over to petes bike. i didnt see any oil on it, or dripping from it. i made sure to check his bike. i also pushed it to the garage area for him and didnt notice anything comming from it. however, i made sure to push it on grass and not across the track if possible so it could have been hard to see. but it looked fairly clean. i was really more worried about making sure he was ok. when i asked at first, he said he had broken his collar bone. i asked if he wanted an ambulance and offered to take care of all of his stuff. i have to say, he's a tough ole guy. wanted to carry his gloves and helmet. so its kind of a tough call. i didnt get to see the canadians bike too close. after he said he was ok, i took off. we need more corner workers and better coverage for the races. there was no one up there. i had to run up the hill to get to them. there were only about 6 corner workers all that day. way too little. if i hadnt been there, the old guy i was working with would have never made it up the hill and the girl in t8 was all alone and had never done it before. more people would have definitely hit that oil. something else to think of is if you do go down, and there is stuff on the track, like your bike, or oil, or parts, since there arent alot of people to help, you should if possible, make every effort to get people directed away from the debris on the track, again, in a safe manner. i know its not always what youre thinking after you crash, but its probably the safest thing to do. anythoughts??
