Here’s a set of CB 750 forks that have been drilled and had bolts put in for adjustment. The Chrome thing is a Dunstall steering stop that bolts to the bottom clamp and adds material to the steering stop to keep the bars from hitting the tank. I think this style is a better choice.

I’ve never had a drilled steering stop break on me, but IMO drilling a hole in it makes it weaker. If it should break, the triple clamp would be rendered useless.
Thanks guys. I was trying to describe it to a guy here in NY without much luck, now he has three options. Funny thing is the way I was talking about is more like dg's first pic but done really clean. I think it may have been branson's bike.
