if youre going to pull the basket, you probably need to pull the slinger too. because the gears mesh with it. you can put it back on with the gears offset so you dont have ot later, or you can pull one of the sprockets off. if you dont have to pull the basket, dont bother doing ay of that. if you have a circlip for the oil slinger, one that holds it together that you had to remove to get into where the nut is, order a new one. they break alot when removing and installing.
