I really need to finish my CB77 race bike.

MR305, what front end are you running? I went with GT550 forks and a 4LS drum

The front forks and triple trees are Ceriani. I designed and fabricated them myself. I have a Suzuki GT750 4ls front brake for it, but the disks worked so well I never used the drum brake.

I built this bike as you see it, in 1972 and fabricated the tank, fairing, seat and catch pan. . These pictures were taken at a track day in the late 2010's. I alternated riding between the CB and my RC51 at the trCk days. These pictures were taken at Hallett Raceway in Oklahoma. I was in my late 60's at the time.
Here's a shot of the RC51 from a track day.

It's really nice to see a well prepped CB four for a change, rather than another grinder amputee. It's the first one that has been posted, in a long time, that I would like to own. Nice job.
Thanks a lot, I appreciate that. My main goal was to restore it as close as possible to stock and customize it just a bit to make it my own and reflect my personality and what I think it should look like.

How long was the project and what shape was she in when you started?
Well, I bought it in 2013 and tore it apart right away. I worked on it when I could and took looong breaks between kids and work travels. Almost thought about selling it last year, but my wife said I should finish it after having it for so long. I’m glad I did.

Here’s how it looked the day I bought it for $500

Except for the silencer and side cover, that's exactly how my 550 looked in 1977 when I bought it.
