$25 - bargain. It has a front and rear disc - but no brake lever or master cylinder for the front, and it seems no brake lever for the rear - so, are the discs just for show, or is that something that you are going to have to sort out?
I know that it's a toy for your grandson - but I would think that you would make it as safe as possible for him, so that he can learn.

Kids bikes have the brake controls in a strange place, for the safest operation they should have good control over the rear brake for sure, the front brake is needed primarily if you are going down hills or traveling at speed, if the engine has limited speed and you are starting them on a flat lawn, rear brake alone (or linked brakes) is likely enough for them to contend with. Once they can balance and turn which takes a while they will need both brakes. They put the brakes on the bars because the kids drag their feet at first, or because they are more bicycle like, but it's best to move the rear brake to the foot as soon as possible to promote use of the pegs. The front brake, kids will learn as they ride faster or more advanced terrain. Independent front brake runs the risk of them using only that and giving it gas at the same time, the previous owner possibly left it off for that reason.

Ah, ok. I see the cable from the left lever, that seems to run to the rear disc, but can't see any cable running to the front disc. Maybe the OP can enlighten us.

I started playing round with the Street Fighter today. Took off the passenger seat and pegs since no one in their right mind would want to ride on the back of it to begin with. (And I never give rides even if they do).

Looks interesting, but does it do anything better than conventionally engineered bikes? Other than being interesting engineering wise?
That mini Vyrus is way cool. A full size one or Tesi would be more cool of course.
Nice collection of bikes there, looks like a Manx plus an RD500 and Sport Classic and a slabbie in great condition. Someone has good taste in collectables. Do any of them get ridden by any chance?

Not finished yet, bought it as a rusted wreck around three years ago. Everything is handmade in my workshop: Tail light, side panels, battery carrier, engine mounts, oil cooler mount, spin on filter mount, headlight brackets, risers, fuel distributor, brake line distributor, exhausts, clamps brackets, mufflers, seatpan, single points cam and backing plate, PMA stator mount, aluminium manifolds, plus lots more. Engine got new cases, reborn, pistons, valve grind, cam chain, cam chain guides, gaskets, seals, VM carbs,

plus a heap more. Painted in 2k, stainless spokes, allen heads and bolts throughout. Just needs tyres, seat covering and drive sprockets.
