In that first vid...the dude is slowing down waiting for the cop....do that in the US and you'll get shot,...you know...for traffic violations.

In the second vid....damn...my truck has a shorter throw on the shifter.

you have to see the entire bunch of videos from that guy. there is one where he slows down and pulls over. then fucking rails out. like the volvo just dissappears. he has guys with cameras set up on overpasses to video. i mean its just insane. and the vid goes for like 15mins. one of the best. they finally caught the guy though. he was doing that with no plates on the bike, then a cop recognized him on the way to work one day on the same bike and pulled him over.

but fantastic stuff.

The shit brings back good memories, but mixed emotions. Remember doing similar stuff when I was a kid. Such a great thrill...but then, in a fraction of a second you are lying there broken up, hoping not to lose a limb...and in a flash it all seems so stupid and pointless. It's weird and beautiful feeling before...and a sickening feeling after. And once you take one good fall that produces life or limb threatening injuries, and you realize you aren't superman...it all changes.
But....much as I think these guys are bad for motorcycling, bad for themselves etc.... I'd never wanna take that spirit away from the young men of the world. Forget the lame ass stunt guys...these guys...that's old school street racing.

Yeah, well, not if they catch you. Hard to outrun a radio, but it all depends on where you are and what your riding. Dual sport? Head out into the woods...

Alfa GTVs. Gearbox was designed by Porsche in the 60s. Alfa used it up until early 90s.

wow, the car racing video is great. jb, did you read its rumored that the guy in the bike video is rumored to be 40?? i couldnt find the one i saw for the first time a few years ago. i just remember it was pretty fun. i liked the volvo spinning out and crashing into the guard rail. like he actually thought he was going make that corner at 60mph!

Joe...in all seriousness...I'm a better rider now...but I don't know if I go as fast...mostly because of racing...I know my limitations now...I know that sometimes you just get lucky.
I think I could go faster on the street now...but I won't.

Going like those guys do on the street...in traffic...that's a whole nother skill set. One I don't really care to have any more. But I give them credit...if it wasn't so freakin stupid and irresponsible...it would be a tremendous display of skill.

its insane, when i ride on the street all i do is worry that theres oil, or antifreeze, or tranny fluid, or any slippery shit there. not to mention just the closing speeds. ill ride fast straight up and down, as fast as my little cb550 will go, but thats plenty fast. (say 115 according to my speedo tached out) even riding anything newer or bigger i dont really care to go any faster than the 550 will go.

2nd vid is Tsukuba Circuit.

Not like I've been there or anything. Its on the (totally bitchin', horribly addictive) ps2 game Tourist Trophy. In the game, there's a challenge where in order to win an '03 TZ250, you've got to beat two other riders from a staggered start in only two perfect laps. Must have taken me over 100 tries, but I got that little screamer.

First time I've ever seen real footage of the track. Guess its a testament to the realism of the game, cause in the vid I could clearly recognize all of the good lines. The move he pulled in the last hairpin is dead nuts what you gotta do in the game.

Very cool. Thanks.

Honda go sideways!
