I'm just about ready to pull the trigger on some shocks for my tt500. Mostly it will be ridden on road with the occasional dirt road travels. The spring rates I'm seeing available are standard 75/155 or 80/175 for the heavy duty. Typically these are fitted to "dirt" bikes, so I'm afraid it's going to be terrible for road manners but great only for off road.

I weigh in at 180 geared up. The bike would probably run around 300 lbs wet, possibly less. Any insight as to how to pick the spring rate? Progressive says 75/155 for a rider under 200, but will it be decent for street?

Took some digging but I found some spring rates geared more towards street:

65/130
70/130

Still not sure which one to pick but I'm willing to bet any of these two would be better suited for street.
