well, the 81 turns over. slapped in a new battery and gave it a go (with the help of Nick, thanks buddy<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>) and it isn't ceazed or anything bad like that. now we just have to clean the carbs, pump some fresh petrol through it and hopefully it will fire.
i took some fresh pics of it too... those will be up shortly.

yup, checked the plugs, they were pretty much junk, but they light up, so it's all good. gonna buy some new plugs and wire ends asap.


any suggestions as to what to run for plugs? NGK was my first thought...


took the ugly rear bar off and started disassembling the air box so i can install some baby k&n filters on it. it's coming along slow but sure.
next is a later style filler cap...... i'm a welder so, i'm going to graft one into the orig tank<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
