I stay away from Tecnic now...both gloves and boots. Come apart after about two years.

Oh, and stay away from Held gloves. They're expensive and fall apart at the seams. They're the only gloves that I've ever had that have done that.

My gloves are Joe Rocket. They need replaceing but have held up quite well

I had Joe Rocket gloves, and I thought they were pretty nice. They blew apart a little after a few falls, but I don't think you can blame a company for that. My hands are in pretty good shape, so I guess I can't complain.
Now I'm using Rev'It! stuff, and so far they have been great. Multiple crashes last year and no holes anywhere; gloves or leathers. Definitely not $100 for a pair of their gloves though. More like $150-$180. Cheaper than a set of hands, some might say.

gloves are worth spending money on. just like a helmet. just ask troy bayliss. his web page says he "split an atom". i wonder if that mans he busted a nut. it says while he was under for the pinky, the urologist had some work to do. eeesh. says it hurts more than the finger.

anyway, a-stars boots, vanson suit, joe rocket gloves, but looking to get better, and hjc helmet.
