i was striping my frame to powder coat it and when i got most of the paint off i kind of liked the way it looks. i dont think that i can get the frame fully polished because its steel but what do you guys think? can i "polish" it and coat it so it does not rust? any one done this?

no mater what you do it will most likely rust, why not just have it chromed or plated with something?

You could give it a nice shiny brushed finish like stainless steel using scotch brit pads....lots of work. Then have it clear powder coated.

they can do pearls to. they even powdercoat wood. but yes, they can do clear.

wow i never knew that they can powder coat clear....was going to just have a painter paint it in clear.
im cleaning the frame up with scotch bright disks and is working great. i love the brushed look.

I do clear all the time in my shop. Some people with magnesium parts like clear powder to keep them looking good.

Nope...can't fit a frame in my oven...well no frame longer than 42".
