Hey Evil (or anyone else with a Reiju)
A few of us went in on one of those kitted Reijus. What info could you impart as an experienced pilot. The bike comes with no information so things like pre-mix ratio would be good to know.
thanks

seized first time out after a lap and a half. Cold seize. replaced piston and barrel. kept premix the same as our buds use, I have no idea what that means. Ran great, but we did buy a bunch of jets, as we figured we better go up in size. went from what was installed , 82, to a 86, as the 110 ran like shit.

It's an awesome ride. I think there is some important shit to know about the temperature, though, I thnk a water temp gauge would be a great addition, as the bike probably runs too cold on the track. But get info from tex. He implied that taking off the fairings and the radiator shroud could possibly make the engine run too cold . . . .

Matt was running a 28 mm carb, we were runnning a 21 that came with the bike. He seized his too, as you know.

I was surprised to find out that you have to have a battery to run the bike. That's all i know. The bike is at Larry's as we also split it between us. Cheap date.

We're safety wiring etc. for running at Laconia.

Are you sure about the battery? Ours bump starts and runs without one-but we don't have the ability to beep the horn or flash the high beams in a passing situation.
We did pick up extra jets and bodywork and have a egt gauge to put on it.
Tex- any basic info would be helpful.
thanks

sorry dudes, been swinging a hammer the last few days. run the reiju 30:1 premix. don't waste your money on race fuel. spend your money on good oil. the battery isn't necessary to race it. run distilled water in radiator. check/change itt every once in a while. a temp guage might be a good idea. we ran 13 of those things in a ten race series and we never had bikes seize up like that.

anyone interested in race tires? i'm thinking treaded bridgestones.

email me offlist if interested and i'll fill you in.

Tex, Scott, and all
Thanks for the tips.
Safety wiring and radiator flushing in the next night or so.

I was thinking about putting some Kool Aid powder in the distilled water so it would look like some trick antifreeze replacement. And it would smell good too. Opinions on grape or strawberry?
