its funny, all of the similar band things i find say things like coc (used to be hardcore punk when i knew em, saw them with dri years ago. like 1986 i remember watching some chick pull her shirt up to let a freind of mine suck her breasticles in the middle of the pit.) then after the show a near riot broke out becasue down the street there was a run dmc concert, with someother rap band. what a freakshow that was. all of these liberty spike wearing punks throwing bottles at the rapper kids. and the rapper kids reciprocating. but they really remind me of the dwarves. maybe its just me. do they play in only fishnets like the dwarves used to?? maybe im dating myself here. anyone else ever listen to the dwarves or even know who the hell im talking about?? how about the old hardcore shows?? god, i remember seeing minor threat in some little shithole clubs in d.c. when i was like 15 with bands like snfu and tsol. some bad assed shows. now every frat boy thinks he can slam and skank. we would have beat the piss out of those guys back then. it's gotten kinda sad what the scene has come to. i figured this would be retro enough of a thread though.

gotta go dig out my agent orange cd and give the neighbors a treat

I really just started listening to punk in the last few years. tough growing up in small town vermont. didn't get much besides country and top 40. I still listen to coc. I like the duarves and agent orange. a lot of the new punk bands really suck balls. I have to go eat, bye

seriously xxxl? I only have xxl. aaron does have an mp3 player, don't know what it is. the ipods are wicked cool but expensive. work with pc's now too. I've got a 550 parts bike. you can have the front end. it will need cleaning and rebuilding but its all there I think.

JD - can you make sure you Joes dad a shirt. I'll pay for shipping if you need me too. He was a big help and real cool guy to hang out with. He really was interested it what was going on with the vintage motorcycle racing scene. He corner marshalled most of the time he was there.

MP3 players - I have several and the best bang for the buck is is to buy a CD/MP3 player. If you buy a hand held regualar mp3 player you'll want 128 meg minimally and in one year you'll you'll be pissed that its to small. The CD/MP3 player's are great cause you can pre burn 700 meg and not worry about enough songs.

Fu is great and I was bummed that they played on Thursday night here and I didn't know anything about it.

maybe she doesnt know what it means. maybe she was just trying to help you out. imagine how much youd hate having someone put an autoresponce on your mail program. hey, anyword yet about the tripster?? i hear johns kinda hopped up about beating you next year. how about frontierland??? going or not. i know you probably wont race, but are you ineterested in just going to hang out?? if you want to take my bike, mikes going to be in nyc in few days, i could probably take my bike up with me and drop it off. you know, if you want to race, aaron. i have been hearing about the mp3cds. i just wanted something small i can stick in my jacket pocket for snowboarding. i think i have to look into it some more. yes, my dad worked t 2 for 2 days. he absolutely loved it. he used to be all into nascar. now he likes motorcycles. hes already bugging me to give him the schedule for next year. he really digs it.

Oi! kids. i'm just a young one but i remember going to a friends flat and hearing nothing but "you gotta hear this new band" then she lifted her sweater to show me the tee-shirt she got at a show. it was the sex pistols and it was the late '70s. has anyone seen my GBH tapes? they were stolen more then ten years ago, but i miss them dearly. as the band O.D. states "Punk is DEAD, I Know!"...i almost pushed the ton on route 91 south from springfield, VT to putney, VT...I NEED A BIGGER BIKE!!

gbh ruled. oi! oi! oi! back at ya! if youre pushing a ton, you need big and comfy. mikeo would recommend an fjr11/1200. i know he loves his and its still plenty retro. and that thing is so low, and actually very comfy. And it'll do 100 all day long. I love this forum....its odd that so many people have so many of the same weird interests. And that we can freely roam from bikes to music to whatever is cool. Thanks aaron.

No I was at the shop today and I decided to get on the mnessage board. I realized the last time I was at the shop I told Johnny to post smoething and he logged on as himself so when I posted my message today it came up as Johnny's post. I was just giving him a hard time. I'm actually waiting to hear how his day went at GMD computrack. You the Honda I twisted up for him.

For doing the ton, I recommend a nice reliable BSA Lightning or maybe a nice Triumph twin. Theres nothing better than being flat out on a Brit and wondering whats coming off next. Its funny cause the more that flies off, the faster you go.

the only problem i have noticed about going fast on a british twin is that going 75 or 80 feels like 100. but god does it sound nice huh??frontierland is oct 12 weekend. its posted on the uscra site in the news or in the schedule. im probably going to skip it. itd be a nice way to finish the season, but i dont know. who knows, mike may end up talking me into it this weekend. it'll probably rain anyway. so he took the bike in to have it checked huh?? man. that sucks. i dont think it would have been you crashing it that would have bent it. either johnny or what phil did to it. the season was short for me but i have plans for next year already. we'll see. any thoughts on the punker thread we have going here?? ive been searching for hardcore punk music online. actually, there is alot still around. even most of the old gbh stuff. kinda funny. have you pulled your top end off yet to see the damage?? id like to see that valve when you pull it out. hey another thought, mike o likes punk music too believe it or not. he used to go to shows with us. mikes a cool guy and aaron you rock man.

is frontier land the track up in the back they put together last year?

I've listened to the misfits a ton but just bought an album the other day, american psycho. tighter than a lot of the real hardcore punk stuff but I like it a lot.

Don't forget Sucidal Tendencies.........and does Mighty Mighty B'tones count? More ska than punk, but decent still the same
Is this the same Joe C. who never uses caps, and gets psycoanalized on other lists because of it?????
->mikeo would recommend an fjr11/1200
Yes, but those of us who know him know he's wacked in the head anyways....just kidding, just kidding<LOL>
->if youre pushing a ton, you need big and comfy
Try an early GL1000 (75-79)- I have a hard time keeping mine on the low side of 80...even with the full fairing and stuff<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
