I think 90wt gear oil is the way to go...same thing that goes in a dump truck rear end. Course I could be wrong.

Last time I checked Mobile 1 was motor oil.

Sure the long chain polymers don't hold up in extended use...but I'll take the reduced friction and change the tranny oil every meet any day.

My manual says 10w-30. I'm just wondering about synthetic vs. non-synthetic in these. It doesn't say anything about that I'm just worried about the clutch slipping.

I'd say go with conventional and change the oil every race meet. There are plenty of synthetics without the friction modifiers but...the clutches on these things are pretty highly stressed who knows how they react to different oils.

Probably the best bet is to ask someone that runs them a lot.... I know a guy named Zack that rides one.

I honestly don't think any RS125 guy knows whats in his bike. I never gotten a straight "I use this" answer from anyone. I guess I'm going to run the Castrol then.

Your manual is 5 years older then mine. Its probably a little different. And after speaking with Rising Sun, Zack, and then Chris Marshall, I got different answers. All respectable answers but different. I took Chris's advise because he's a handsome Canadian.
