Really nice bike. Is that a wide case or a narrow case? Not to up on bevels, the last one I worked on was a wide case 350 that had been a race bike and was being put back on the street.

I would love to own it but I get the feeling it would get lost in my asscrack, and who needs a $5000 piece of ass floss anyway.

27hp is not that bad for a 250. Puts you right into two stroke territory.

for those looking to build a fleet of duc singles vintage racers your ship has come in:

i think my dad rode that bike and said it was real nice. it's got that Talabach high-mount stainless exhaust on it, sounds great. nobody's going to keep up with turk's Bultaco on a 250 Ducati anyway, so i think it's a nice bit of ass floss for $5k. i'm not buying it though.

the parts look like for 10,000 you may get one and a half bikes out of it. Seems like a lot of broken and worn out redundant pieces.I saw bent forks ,cases with rods or a bearing blew threw, lots of rusted stuff well I wont be watching but maybe someone sees value there for 10,000 I dont.

But that duc for sale is a nice bike!

I went to see it a few weeks ago. word says it might have an issue or two that needs to be dealt with. BUt it is pretty and clean and has all the neat stuff. Especially the oil (baking) pan.

I..err...finished in front of him a couple of time due to his clutch problems. Perhaps fixed with the 350 clutch. (Hey....John...lemme have my day in the sun please)

It pulls my bike a bit down the straight. I don't think he ever beat me on that bike though. Although I have seen him go faster than I can when it was running strong in other classes.
What it needs is a 160lb rider, Ruffo had to flog it pretty hard...not that he's a BIG man ( in case he's listening hehe), but he's not small either.
He's a two stroke man at heart I think when it comes to solo bikes. That's where he made a name for himself. Give him a bike that will get it done, and he'll do his part.
