I received this email today.... Lets see what I can get out of him.

Thank you for your response, after discussing
with my client who really commended your bike
instructed to move on with the deal at the price of
($3,500),he said he will be going on a vacation soon
and will rest virtually all the transaction on my
shoulder and assign a shipper like wise that i will
work with and stressed that he will be issuing out a
cashier check of ($9,500) which was a refund payment
of a cancelled order earlier made by him but
will be filed in your name, you are only required to
deduct the cost of your bike($3,500) and
send the differece ($5,000) when payment gets to you to a
shipping agent whoose information will be given to
you as at when due, he will be needing the fund to
offset shipping charges, taxes and other c osmetic
repairs/touches,the agent will be responsible for
signing andtransferin! g of title paper and also pickup.
So i require of you to send me your
NAME,ADDRESS AND
PHONE NUMBER for payment to be delivered to you via
fedex courier services All other information needed
in completion of this transaction will be given to
you in due time.
thanks

Hmmm. I don't want them to have my home address. I'll use the PO box...

"Sure! You bet! Sounds great!
As soon as I get the check, I'll let you know so you can contact
your shipper. If your shipper is having problems getting here, I
have a good friend that ships motorcycles all over the world
and could be more than helpful to you getting your motorcycle
and refund check.

Let me know!"

Son of a bitch. I got the same letter from the same guy today. He told me he was buying my van. Bastard. I suppose this means he really doesn't want to buy my van.

Maybe he can assign his shipper to stop by my place, pick up my van and then head to your place and and load your bikes in my van. Might be able to save himself a little on the shipping charges. I'm just trying to help everyone out.

you should give them your bank account info for a money wire transfer. that would be the easiest way for you to get scammed out of house and home. worth a thought.

Crap now I can't have him buy my stuff so he can send me MORE money than what I asked for so I can cash his check and send him the difference back! That Rat Bastard!

Ok question for you guys. I'm going to see if I can get some actual cash out of this guy.
Say that my bank charges fees to cash whatever he sends to me. Question is: what form should that payment be in? I want it to be worth actual money, not another fake check or money order. Ideas?

I was thinking postal money order.

You want a Nigerian Postal money order???? I'd try for Western Union. And my scammer never got back to me. I guess he'd rather have a motorcycle than a van.

he will not send anything that can actually be converted to cash. Best you will get is a fake cashiers check for $9500 you can hang in your garage. Just for fun you should complain about all the hassle and see how much you can talk him up.

Here's the plan: I'll state that my bank wants to charge a $35 fee for cashing the fake money order. I'll see if I can get him to send something actually worth $. Like a postal money order. Hard to fake those. Plus it's a federal offense. Not that any authority will do anything about it.

You people are so negative. I'm having fun with this. Heck, it takes more time to post here than it does to send the guy an email.
