My wife is from Vietnam. In her country, people take off their shoes when they enter a house. Now she´s got me doing it.
It´s a hassle sometimes. But on the plus side, I haven´t had to refinish my oak flooring or steam clean the rugs in over nine years.

When I grew up and bought my own shit....I figured in five years I'd waste enough time screwing with shoes to freakin pay for new carpet.
So no...I don't take mine off.
And JC...last time I pounded your sister in the rear she was face down on the reststop floor....so I didn't touch the icky floor anyway.

Oh hell...my house isn't nice enough to have to take shoes off before going inside. I want rip out the ugly old carpet in the LR & refinish the hardwood floors anyway, although the oil stain on it from dismantling an RD400 engine is mostly gone...
My house looks more like a bachelor pad than a women's house....M/C parts in every room but the kitchen and bathroom. I rebuilt my KX80 in the kitchen a couple of years ago...it was too cold in the garage!
