I'm rebuilding the engine of my 1979 gs1000 and i'm having trouble finding new piston snap rings/ retaining rings. Does anyone know where I could buy some?

Are you talking about the piston wrist pin retaining clip shown in the pic below ? that's SP # 09381-18002 .. it was used on bikes for over 40 years and is available everywhere. If not, please be more specific on what you are talking about. Do you have a manual?

Thanks for the response! Yes that's what I mean and yes I have a manual and they're referred to as piston snap rings but it doesn't make note of what size or part number they are and I have seen multiple styles and sizes of snap rings. I'm just trying to make sure I get the correct ones so they fit and seat correctly.

There are bazillions of oem parts sites with online parts fiche.....partzilla, apache, etc.

Just Google search the part # and it will bring up a whole list for you to shop from.
The first place on the list seems to be the cheapest @ $.66
