hello all,

in philadelphia, the snow measures 1" as recorded by my trusty ruler at 1:10p.m./est on 1/22/03. (wow, that sentence had five prepositions)

only 14 more inches to come.

anyone else (who doesn't have a snowmobile, quad, or front wheel drive in any of their automobiles) care to comiserate about the weather.

tex

p.s.- it was friggin' 64 degrees here last week!

I live on a mountain top.
We are getting about 14 inches today between 4pm and 2am....I drive to work at 10pm....home at 4am. I am not afraid.
I have only a two wheel drive truck, with Bridgestone Blizex mounted, and about 400 lbs in the bed.
I very very rarely get stuck because I drive like a normal intelligent human being in the snow.

Four wheel drive is for pussies.

i second that. nothing like passing those uber expensive suvs in my 2 wheel drive c2500 on roads covered in snow. damned, tex, i was at the shop this morning and tom and chris swang by. tom in the rig of course. he was roosting around the parking lot. pretty cool. anyway, the drive home sucked. there were people all over the road. some people just getting out of thier cars and walking up 83. (main raod around here, a highway) so everyone of course had to go slow because there are total shitheads out walking on snow covered highway roads. i'll tell you though, the road hungry saturn was passing jeeps and other trucks going up some pretty big hills this afternoon. we've got maybe 5" on the ground now. more is supposed to come. it just means i'll be able to go out later and embaress them all again. did anyone see in mens health where your city ranked for average intelligence for population??? baltimore was at the bottom half. pretty funny. i can definitely say its true.

gotta love being a landlord eh?? we had one bust at the shop over xmas. it actually blew out a window onto the street and was a gigantic frozen water fall on the front of the building. of course no one was around, so it ran for probably a day. filled the cistern with water. someone came by at some point and shut the water to the building off at the meter. (we were going insane trying to figure out what water wasnt commming into the building.) now our dry system sprinkler has frozen. the moisture in the system froze and its causing a leak someplace, so the alarm has been going off, and the pumps been running on and off. so weve been trying to get that fixed too. pretty fun stuff.

I love collecting the checks but not ripping up soaked carpets. I wish I had a gigantic frozen waterfall though. mine was all steamy wetness. really the best thing about being a landlord is collecting checks from aaron for those cold showers.

wish i had my camera last night.
on my way back from dropping my girl off at her house, saw a big bright yellow, H2 hummer being pulled off a snow bank by a tow truck. it appeared that these adventurous turds thought that driving around a snow covered parking lot had prepared them to tackle a six foot snow bank. never have i wished i had a camera more than last night. four snot-nosed college dicks smirking out of their tinted windows while one of boston's finest and a tow truck driver had to babysit these "thrill seekers" and shut down soldier's field road in the process.
