Been working on motorcycles here in Brooklyn for around a year now, and like Sydney, nearly everyone on classic machinery is trying to play finger bang with leg-tatted hipster ladies. It's a see of running like shit, unsafe bikes with shiny new clubmans, seats made of thin packing foam and frame loops kissing rear tires. As much as I've tried to suggest kindly to those inquiring for any of my work, a safe way to do things, money is spent constantly on shit that looks peerrty, pudding bowl helmets and 200 bucks jeans.

Fine. I get it.

But yesterday, and if you're on this forum, hello sir, I went for a ride up around Bear Mountain yesterday and chased down a chap on an grey RD350, guy had a bum stop seat, clip-ons, spannies, rear sets, good tires and what looked like hagons. Don't know, we rode separate ways, but he was giving it the beans.

Was just nice to see someone out there making something do it's job better and caning it.

On a side note. Was doing my best Schwantz impersonation around a tight road section. Went onto a road that turns me around so I can do it again and bam. Gravel. Highside, bike landed on the leg, but all is was well. Frame sliders are worth their weight in gold.

And while I have you, I'll post this somewhere else, if anyone has any NT650 Hawk parts, particularly an exhaust and carbs, I'd love to have a chat.

...penis.

Ha not the Hawk. Just looking for an exhaust and carbs. Need to pay for flatslides when I get some moolah coming in. Not expensive, but not necessary for now money wise.

Kevlar pants ps, although some armor is next on the list.

CB919. Frame slider took it all. Replaced the slider, and wam, brand new. Gravel plus 3 years old tires (post Kerry burnout).

I like how the crash was the side note and the primary subject was hipster bikes.

No, bikes absolutely fine, just changed the slider and done. Bars didn't even touch the ground. The primary reason we rode up was to meet up with a dude who was going to buy it. He changed his mind up there and wants ducati apparently. Not really a wasted exercise, as I went for a ride, but oh well. I told him about your issues with Ducati. He want's a diavel. I'm going through the change of title process at the moment. The DMV has to MAIL the Californian DMV to confirm and it could take up to 12 weeks. That would be more of a reason to be pissed off.

seriously. my buddy dave was behind me, couldn't believe it. Mind you, it's an under seat exhaust, so the two points of contact were the slider and the rear wheel.

Take a ride out east!
we can play motorcycles and moonshine.
Or you can help me come up with a mathematical model of a closed rankin cycle boiler system that can be used to find the optimal number of open feed water heaters to maximize the thermal efficiency. Of coarse you have to maintain greater then a .90 for the steam quality across the turbine, but we can neglect the work of the boiler pumps.

Plan on more math mixed with my drinking this weekend then motorcycles.

Done. Not this weekend, but next week sometime I'm free.

Yeah, he's fine. It'll happen, just been dicked around and low-balled bad.
