So as to not be spanked on a big track again,I will have to change my gearing. At VIR I was in 5th gear at red line before I was past the balconies on the front straight. That was 500ft down and 2500 feet to go and no more go left. I was going to put a 17 on the front to replace the 16 but do I need to worry about the chain coming in contact with the clutch rod? I have heard of this problem but didn't know at what size sprocket it started with.If I need to buy new sprockets are there any suggestions?

2nd that. I get all my stuff from them. Not the cheapest in the world, but it sure beats searching all around for crap. They have it, or can make it.

Wolf,

I use 17 on mine without any problems. You could go up to 18 and not hit anything. And Sprocket Specialists is easy.
