Hey all,
I need to replace my front and rear sprocket. I would like to maximize acceleration. I really don't need to go much over 80 since I only ride in the mountains.

What sprocket sizes would you suggest for curvy, hilly roads with short passing lanes?

Thanks

I always get confused on gear size so I went out and rode the mountain bike. The little ring up front and the large ring in the back make the bike easiest to peddle.

How does that relate to motorcycle acceleration? Do I want the gearing to be high low on the moto?

bigger on back and/or smaller in front gives more acceleration and cuts top end speed

hard for anyone to suggest what you should change when you don't state what gearing you have and what it does as is

assuming it and the rear tire size is stock

I'd say add 6-8 in the back and you should be fine

or drop say 2 up front

17-48 with a 11/90-18 tire.

I don't know what stock size is.

Thanks for the input
