will something really really bad happen if i just take the sawzall to my stock mufflers and chop about ten inches off them? anyone done this before? haha.......i hate those ugly heavy chrome shitcans........

Just do it, nothing bad will happen. Make sure you test 'em out on your street at about 10:30 PM. If they're too loud, you'll know pretty quick.
Actually, I did do that about 20 years ago with a CB360. It was a tad louder...

When rebuilding the top end of my Bonneville several yrs ago, we test ran it in my dad's garage w/o mufflers at about 11:00pm, and one of his neighbors was so eager to let us know how loud it was, she didn't even bother to get dressed - walked right over in her pajamas.

hmm.... thats a good idea... my neighbors hot, and i think she likes me.......maybe she will come out to "yell at me" in her pjs, too......anyway, so yer sayin its gonna be loud then....gotcha.....any mod i can do to it after ward to quiet it a little? or am i just asking for all sorts of rejetting issues? maybe i should just stick to the supertrapps.....
