I am not saying that all of the flex was in the fork tubes, although that was our speculation at the time. The fairing was mounted solidly so I don't believe it was shifting forward. There could have been some frame flex at the steering head and the handling was not great so I don't know what was going on with the sliders and the tubes. We did not race the bike enough after that to see if the fork tubes flaked chrome or stayed bent.

Back to the original topic, Im convinced I need fenders on my CB350 project. Front is taken care of. I need a source for a plastic inner rear fender to protect the carbs, battery, etc. Forget the rain. I'm in California.[8D]
