Hi there -

I've been watching those idiot spammers hit these forums a lot (as we speak, there are two new posts right below this one).

Can I suggest the following:

If no one here is up to the modification, I could probably jimmy it in (I admin websites for a living).

Also, there's another issue I see with these forums that might be an issue - admins please email me about it, email address is my username at gmail dot com.

remember, there are about 6 people each with admin abilities. my guess is they are all racing this weekend with the exception of myself. what you dont realize is there are probably 50 of these things that appear everyday, but since we babysit so well, you hardly notice. with nhf, jeremys other business that he actually lives on, and racing for fun themselves, there isnt alot of time to have fun and play with this. however there are and have been inquiries into other bbs servies and such and non of them have worked out. so before you get yourself all cranked up about it, keep those things in mind. you can always email jeremy and see if he'll do anything about it. dont hold your breath though as im pretty sure there is something else in the works.

Joe are you drinking and picking on the new guys? It's a good idea and a relatively easy fix. Although after looking at some of the code, the instructions don't quite match up with the files in place. I'm guessing because this version is pretty old. If I can't figure it out I've got a pretty good computer guy on staff. Borz, thanks for the offer. If I find I need some help I'll drop an email your way.

Hey, I ain't cranked at anybody but the lowlifes that are spamming - I know there are a bunch of people that remove these things, I was just suggesting some easy roadblocks for spam. I've also written a line or two of .NET and ASP code for fun and profit, so I figured I could chip in a bit so you old crusty types could spend less time deleting spam and more time drinking and giving me good CB450 advice.

dont be fooled, hes got a good crew behind him. just cuz he doesnt know how to time his 550 doesnt mean he cant run a bulletin board.
