it was wet. really wet. but it was a blast. had a great race with ad, and someone else on a 350 honda in 350gp. aaron got a really good start and i could see him ahead but wasnt able to catch him in the end. he won it by about 100 feet. the rain was unreal. it just kept raining.

rope crashed out of both of his races. at one point in the carousel i thnk there were 4 people crashed at seperate times in the same race. i think they had to dispach a shuttle to pick everyone up. it looked like a biker meeting of some kind.

our junkyard special was wailed on all weekend until aaron finally killed it in 500 gp. he just stayed out to win the class after everyone else either broke or crashed out. (should been me out there!) aarons bike ran great as well as ad's jonny d never got up and running after his crash. (someone explain to him that cleaning out his carbs doesnt meant using the powerwasher to do it please) chris m had some bike problems crashing out in practice, then tire/grip problems in the race, the the rs wouldnt go. but he was flying in practice.

all in all a great fun weekend of really wet cold racing. you didnt mis anything unless you wanted to race. god damned its fun!!

and tim t, and ad, great to finally meet you guys. did you guys go back and pick up those 14year old pros from the rib room??

epic event! rained almost the whole damn time, except for saturday night when it cleared.

tt and a.d. drove down as did aaron and j not that d (seperately).

joe c, c. marsh, and i made up the caferacer.net types. the entire nyc wrecking crew showed, with the new rickman G50 matchless, but jordan didn't run it cause of the weather. jaimes summerfeld manx needs gearbox help so that stayed at home.

i had a massive battle in form500/v1/350gp with russ beltz on his rd400. i took the win in my class, but could'nt hold the last lap pass for overall win.

v3/v5 was my best race. it stopped raining for a bit, the track sorta dried and we could go. v5 is 1000cc bikes and v3 is upto 750cc bikes. i had a three way scrap with rus on his rd400 and kenny cummings on the 750 norton. i was able to hold them both off to win that race also.

v2/500gp was a giant cluster f for most involved. c. marsh had already retired for the day. joe clancy registered for only 350gp, so aaron jumped on his bike for 500gp, tim and a.d. went out in 500, i was in v2. race starts, i'm chasing a sr500 and by lap two i try an outside pass in the carosel and lowside on the sealer. a.d., retires his machine a lap later with a mechanical in the same corner. lap 6 sees a three man group for the v2 lead with tt foolowing inches for the 500gp second place. tt tries a bold outside move in the carosel on the sealer and.....lowsides in the same damn place i did. three cafetypes all rode back to the pits together, and our bikes were hauled by the crash truck. i'm sure someone will post the pics of our bikes in the tech shed.

it was a great weekend. lotsa wood taken home and real good times!

"who's scooter is that?"

It was a great time. Thanks Branson for the over the phone tuning help and thanks Joe for the ride.

I had a great time a dinner. Even though we gave the chef a stroke and they took him away to the hospital.

ads 175 ran great. we had a really fun race. that guys a nutjob. going inside of me in the carousel in the pouring rain on the last lap. i slammed the door on him though. actually it was a great move, i thought i had dumped him about 4 corners back. its a hot little bike and his times werent far off aarons. t was raining though. so it was tough to tell what was really happening.

and aaron, you should really drop chris a note and thank HIM. he was the reason i was riding at all. looking forward to the minimoto big time in june. all the 50cc guys should bring thier bikes if they are eligible.

Was AD running his 175? How did it go?

ADs bike ran exactly like a 175 with big carbs. No power down low and peaky at the top. It seemed ok fast down the straight and decent minus trying to tune the bike with big carbs. It was probably hard for him to make huge steps forward with the track conditions but I thought he was getting it figured out pretty well.

I am super duper ready for minimoto.

I will drop Chris a line this week and thank him. I'll give it a few days after harrassing the guy all weekend.

Yeah in all honesty the bike ran like shit... It was great at start and full throttle but barely ran at anything between that :( I also had some interesting electrical problems due to the downpour, including a small fire under the seat. "Who ordered the hot nuts??" But if Branson will come through with some manifoilds I can stick some 24's on there and it will be all good... "Begging" As for Tim, he just couldn't keep that "Red Mist" away, which isn't so good in the rain. But he's getting it together. We'll be back for USCRA in May. Great hanging with all you guy's.. 3rd in 350 on a 175.. I'll take it!!

Cheers, A.D.

yeah, i read he results, that guy we were racing with was in v1 not 350.
your bike went through the corners better than mine. but hey, i was on a 6 year old rear! how did you like my missed shifts comming out of t3???? any flames comming out of that puppy?? seemed like i could easily motor on the straight sections ad. you were pretty good through the corners on that thing. i definitely had more motor on you though, no surprise. id like to do it all again in the dry. the rain is so tough to figure shit out in. but it was tons o fun. my shit is still wet.
