well it looks like everyone has suddenly raised the bar in their respective race programs. summit was great for some, tragic for others. tt went out in the v3 & v5 race (750cc-1000cc) on his cb350. he bested my personal best time (1:39) with two 1:39 laps followed by three consecutive 1:38 laps......then he crashed while trying to avoid jordan levit's seely norton and broke his collarbone. unlucky at best, however, he came back from the hospital and drank beer like a true wanker.

i had two massive battles with aron on the mach1 ducati 350. lap after lap he applied pressure and some great passing to really make me work for it. i was able to get through some lapped traffic in the 350 race to set up for a 2nd place finish (as mr daytona already checked out for the win).

joe clancy had his new machine out.....damn is it pretty, and all business! he had the normal bugs of an untested, first ridden racebike in the 350 race. carburation and ignition......, then came the 500 race!!!!!!! aron and i were drag racing down the front straight in an all balls out test to see who would brake first when clancy pulls up next to us, then like a light switch (and a show of powerband almost like an rd400), he bullets past us like we were standing still (we were completely full-tilt-boogie, W-F-O). unbelievable! he would of had the entire field, cmarsh too, but unfortunately he ran out of gas. cmarsh pulled in briefly for a mechanical, choke lever came on, but finished. i was able to stay in front of aron for the last three laps and record my first win of the season.

my thanks to all who came down. tt, seth, aron, jordan, kenny, andrew, joe, bucky, and mr daytona too. what a blast.

heal up tim and i'll see you at granite state. good luck to aron, seth and clancypants at the fim.

good luck to the rest of the formula cb grid as your gonna need it.

there is a new sheriff in town, and his name is joe clancy!

later,

tex

I spoke to tim when he was on his way back from Summit to Loudon. They are going to make a stop and leave his broke ass home then Aaron, Seth, Clancy wancy will continue on to NH. They should be there already.

I'm heading out at 3am, should be there in time for tech.

Let's see what Joe has for us FCB dudes. Summit is not my track but Loudon is so I will be bringing it...

See ya bitches in the AM!

clancy for president (of formula cb)!

j "not that" d for vice president!

good luck to all.

texy

Carrie or Kerry, I apologize again for the strafe through turn eight, I was running a bit hot for practice cause...well I needed the practice. Evidently you handled it well....as I did it I was apologizing in my head to whomever it was and figuring it scared the shit out of them.

guys-

if you're gonna crash, do it at the track. i can't get over how everyone rallied around to help me out yet again. tex & casey rock, there are few so generous and thougtful. i've now had the super-hot mr. daytona, chris marshall, in my pants. i still laugh when i think how many collarbone straps were offered out of various pitboxes...so i don't feel alone in this. rosko & and whatevs were awesome dragging my dead weight around the mid-atlantic...i owe you guys, and not just for the van rental, no wanker has ever had it so good.

and most of all, i gotta thank everyone here for helping me get together a bike that has a chance to run near the front. it was an awesome day out on the track while it lasted, and i'm just sorry i missed the rest of you at nhis.

granite state bitches-

Yeah, what am eventful, rock star, back-to-back, tragic-epic weekend it was...

Tim, there is nothing else that can be done but everything we can for a fallen comrade. Hope you and your bike heal up well and are back in action for the next race in Sept.

Tex, it was a blast racing you! I learned a lot about pushing braking markers...now I just gotta race you again and test out getting on the gas earlier and get over my fear of turn 5 (excuses, excuses). Congrats on the solid wins either way, can't wait for the next one.

The FIM race was bittersweet for me...had a catastrophic crankshaft gear (or whatever it's called) failure that caused me to miss most of practice and my first race, but thanks to Seth and all the guys who helped me get it together for the last two. Got 2nd in 500 GP and was second into turn 1 for 350 when my plug wire popped off. That's racing, I guess.

Joe C, yer a great pace car. Average of 87mph. Kerry Smith is an up and coming superstar.

Actually downloading it now...tragic thing is, I forgot that I killed my bike and was rushing to get around the warm up lap, so I forgot to turn the camera on for the first lap. F-ing missed the first lap when you blew by us...man, what a bummer! Your videographer failed you. Remembered to turn it on half way down the straight on the second lap. It's long straight, as you know. Next time, man. Mid-Ohio.
