Also, I've been trying to learn the track, but the on-board video selection that I've found so far has been poor. If someone could point me in the right direction of an on-board video that is averaging more than 45mph I would appreciate it. Whoever links the best video wins a prize.

Can't make it after all. Even though we don't have a school, I have been in the village flying the flag and organizing some educational opportunities for the little tykes in some community spaces. I am in WI at the moment collecting up some stuff to replace some of my burned stuff (guns and clothes) but will be back in AK on Thurs. I have been living without sewer and water for the past 3 weeks in the village so a shower and flush toilets have been really cool for the past several days.
Have fun at Summit and I really wish I was going to be there. It is the first track I ever raced at, 1977.

zach, i sent the video a while back. remember you commented on "slower traffic stay right" that was summit. average laps speeds are about 120 for the fast guys. i think that video link is here. and yes, chris is riding an r6 this weekend. its a loaner. a friend of ours will be running one of the fat house racing bikes. so chris talked his way into gettin an r6 to ride. should be interesting. im interested to see how he places. i dont think hes ever actually raced a modern bike. although when he ran the rc51 a few years back he would have easily qualified for an ama pro. and he said it was just scary. and no steering stabilizer on it!

honestly zach i think youd beat him. chris is an excellent rider, and i think if you backed him up 5 or 6 years, youd have your hands full. but the daytona crash slowed him down alot. on his 125 he usually does really well though. i think riding the r6 will be alot tougher for him. but who knows. i mean he did run ducati 750s and that 888 for a bit. knowing the track would be his only real advantage. and that would only come into play if he was near you, catching you, or able to get in front before the melee.

i think the ride is sorta available anytime. so maybe next time.

oh and arron, the 250 isnt done.

Ummm.... I was going to respond to this, but the ridiculousness of this thread is overwhelming. Chris is a great rider but there is a huge difference between riding and R6 for an afternoon and trying to knock off a tenth of a second at a time to compete with the fastest guys around. I like Chris and I think he's fast but it would be a better race if I were on the bike.
