Well the 4LS off of a water Buffalo is OK... but super heavy.
Have you thought about going without a front brake? It would really tie in a cool bratstyle look

Honda never seem to shy from trying the strange configuration. The swing arm front end really deserves something strange powering it, the NR750 would fit outside the box.
I want to see what Millyard could do with the NR750... NR1000?

Can you get a cylindrical uni-filter that will fit OVER the stacks?

I have seen some cool videos of them. Seems kinda pricy for what it is though. Unsure if I want to install a compressor big enough to run one either. If doing that, I think a vapor hone in the basement is a better investment.
I've used a cheap amazon soda blaster gun with a hopper to clean aluminum parts. A 50lb bag of soda blasting medium is like $15 at harbor freight. The best part is its water soluble.

here's a before and after of an aluminum hub after about 5 minutes of blasting:
